Nanoblading Versus Microblading
Although nanomachine strokes and microblading are similar, they are different—the needle size and the application. The needle used in nanomachine strokes is much smaller than the needle used in microblading. Because nanomachine strokes have a smaller needle, precision, and accuracy improve. Thus, it allows a more natural result. A smaller needle also means less pain and bleeding. In microblading, a thin pen-like tool is used by hand, and it slices the skin, whereas the nanomachine injects a pigment into the skin, creating thousands of tiny dots. This technique places individual hair-like strokes of color pigment beneath the surface of the skin.
Microblading is a technique that uses a tool to draw the brows. It cuts into the skin of the eyebrows and implants pigments into the cuts. It involves hundreds of strokes. It is a tattoo that aims to achieve an enhanced texture and color that looks natural. The pigment that is used in microblading will fade over time. Thus, touch-ups are needed to maintain the desired look of full and well-defined brows.
Nano Machine Strokes Procedure
Cosmetic tattooing has taken the beauty world by storm. Nanomachine strokes are a minimally invasive procedure where a pigment is implanted into the skin using a cosmetic tattooing machine. Although nanomachine strokes are like microblading, there is a difference. And the difference is between the needles used and the application process.
Before you undergo a procedure involving nanomachine strokes, the licensed beauty professional will assess your skin and provide recommendations on moving forward with cosmetic tattooing. They first need to ensure that this kind of procedure is suitable for your skin. The wonderful aspect of the nanomachine stroke procedure is that it has fewer undesirable side effects than microblading, such as bleeding, bruising, scarring, and swelling.
The injecting process involved in the nanomachine stroke procedure helps the pigment penetrate deeper into the skin than a microblade slice. Therefore, the client can expect better results, which usually last longer. The results of such a procedure should last anywhere between 18 to 24 months. However, it does vary depending on factors like skin type. On the other hand, microblading results last up to 12 months.
Interestingly, nanomachine strokes can also be used for a semi-permanent tattoo procedure for the lips. Nanomachine strokes can be used to apply a semi-permanent lip liner or full lip color with any shade of color you choose.
How do you prepare before the procedure?
- You must not wax or tweeze your eyebrows a week before the treatment.
- Do not get a facial at least two weeks prior to treatment.
- Do not sunbathe or tan on the day of your procedure.
- Avoid caffeine, ibuprofen, aspirin, alcohol, and fish oil supplements at least 24 hours before the treatment.
- Do not use retinol or Vitamin A products one month prior to the procedure.
After the procedure, you must do the following:
- Keep your eyebrows dry.
- Avoid sweating, saunas, and hot baths for the first 7 days.
- Wipe your eyebrows daily with a damp cloth. Apply moisturizing cream provided by the artist.
- Do not wear makeup around your eyebrows for at least one week.
- Avoid tanning beds, light therapy, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels for the next 30 days.
Your healing time will take approximately 4 weeks for the treated area to heal. At first, your brow color will be darker, but as time passes and new skin develops over the area, your true color will emerge. After 3 to 4 weeks, your tattooed eyebrows will blend beautifully with your natural hair. To say that you will be in love with your results is an understatement!
What is Microblading?
NOTE: This procedure is not recommended for very oily skin with large pores. The strokes most likely fade out or become very blurry after the complete healing. Microshading will be a better option for you.
What is Micro-shading?
Micro-Shading is a combination of manual microblading technique and a shading technique. This method is performed using a tattoo gun. It is also considered to be a semi-permanent procedure. This combination allows you to create very natural full 3D eyebrows.
NOTE: Best candidates are those with little or no eyebrows. This procedure also recommended for those with very oily skin and large pores.
